Plywood People is a start up incubator for companies and organizations looking to make a positive change in the world. They support those who solve problems and make the world better. And, they’re a big reason why Goodable is here.
Last year, I went through their Foundations program which helped clarify Goodable’s business plan and mission. More importantly, it helped me find balance between my day job, family life, and Goodable.
Turns out, starting a business with a one year old and five year old while both parents are holding down a day jobs is… well… a challenge. It’s still tricky, but thanks to the good folks at Plywood People I have a few tricks of my own to manage it all.
Now, I’ve participated in a variety of incubator programs, but this one was different. Plywood People take on the holistic view of a founder. They guide you on how to start a project bigger than yourself in a way that can balance with the rest of your life. Quite frankly, you probably wouldn’t be reading this post if it weren’t for their Foundations program.
Are you looking to make a change in the world with your idea? Check them out.
If you’re looking to support a non-profit geared to empower makers and founders, consider including a link to Plywood People for donations from Goodable when you checkout.
